Susan Chapelle

Susan Chapelle will be off work building our new clinic space in the Galleries, Tantalus Rd and will be back to work in November at both locations. Her schedule is now up for November.

Susan Chapelle has been a practicing therapist for over 13 years. She comes from Toronto where she graduated from Sutherland Chan College. Susan worked in the entertainment industry backstage for 15 years before deciding to become a massage therapist. This led her to treating people in the industry and opening a clinic that specialized in the quick assessment and treatment of performing artists. She has worked with the National Opera Company, the National Ballet, and the Toronto Symphony. Susan has worked with numerous theatrical company’s as a therapist, including Les Miserables, Cats, Showboat, Phantom of the Opera, Buddy Holly story and the Lion King.

Susan has spent time as an educator for therapists teaching at colleges for massage in London England, and Toronto. With a background in music, Susan used her knowledge to become an expert in the treatment of musicians. Studying the anatomy as it relates to different instruments made it easy to help players as well as educate other health professionals in the treatment of performing artists.

Susan’s passion lies in treating “difficult” patients. She has been awarded the Squamish Chief Readers Choice Award for “Best Massage Therapist” in Squamish 2004/2006.

Susan enjoys living in Squamish for the outdoors. She is an avid climber and mountain biker. Moving from Toronto has shifted her focus from performing artists to outdoor enthusiast. She knows how important it is to get on with tasks at hand and enjoys getting people back quickly into enjoying the outdoors.
